Stirrin' Blog
A Stirrin'New Year 31st January
Stirrin’Stuff kicked into 2007 with a new idea for a recipe column, the children send the recipes in and we test them. This was started by Donna Mackenzie from Muir or Ord.
January began with an invitation to join Quality Meat Scotland in a presentation to Aberdeen university postgraduate students. The kitchen used for practical sessions is in the MacRoberts building. It is very well equipped, immaculate and with stunning views over Aberdeen. There were a lovely bunch of students who had just returned from placements in schools. One student had worked (in another life) with Raymond Blanc and gave us a tip to keep a avocado salsa /guacamole a vibrant green – put the stone in. I have yet to try this
