Marathon day of cookery demonstrations 13th December

Nine demonstrations in a school day with S1 pupils at Clydebank High school – on a day when it rained and rained and Glasgow got flooded. What an amazing group of young people attend this school with warrens of roof leaking corridors s with window surrounds where mould and corroded rust mingle. The staff didn’t seem to notice the leaking roof- Stirrin’Stuff got a real west of Scotland welcome. We trudged through sodden grass with boxes and demonstrated to over a 100 children in the nine group sessions. It was as action packed Health Fair day where Stirrin’Stuff was one of nine workshops (others listed below), each session lasted 30 minutes. Stirrin’Stuff needed the help of a stalwart cookery assistant, the brilliant Andrea and recieved a lovely welcome from the Home economics dept headed up by Andrea Christie. An amazing day that Stirrin’Stuff was privileged to be a part of – our cookery sessions were sponsored by Quality Meat Scotland. Hands Up for QMS.
